Job Purpose

Peninsula are hiring a Software Developer to join an existing team and work on new and existing applications that are used internally across the Peninsula Group. These applications are bespoke and complex and are of great importance to the day to day running of the business. If you are looking for a role where your work will have meaningful impact on hundreds of users, where you will work in an established team, and where you will be employed by a company who will support you and develop your skills, this may be the position for you. You will be a key member of the Document Management Systems team, developing features for new and existing software applications for our internal business processes and our external client facing solutions.



Job Overview

At Peninsula, we are a consultancy specialising in Employment Law and Health and Safety Advice. What this means is that we partner with SMEs and make sure they are complying with the law so they can do what they love – namely getting on with running their business. From our modern offices in Manchester, you’ll be working on the Document Management Systems Projects which will play a big part in our future growth.

 

What you Bring to the Team

The key responsibilities of this job include:

·         Working with the Document Management Systems team in an Agile environment to design, develop and maintain complex and bespoke web applications.

  • Providing application support to our internal and external users to ensure stable delivery of our services.
  • Working closely with BAs, QAs, and other developers
  • Proactively suggest new tools and technologies which will support the development strategies and goals.

What you Bring to the Team

·         You are familiar with ASP.Net, C#, AngularJS, JavaScript, HTML and CSS, and SQL server and have worked with these within a commercial environment.

·         You are familiar with, and have built web services using C#

·         It would be beneficial to your application if you have experience working within an Agile environment, and with scripting using PowerShell.

Each of the skills listed below are ideal but not essential:

·         Background in C#

·         Knowledge of cloud-based providers, Azure/AWS/GCP

·         Having previously worked within an Agile Development environment.

·         Familiar with:

Ø  Front end technologies, Angular, HTML, Typescript, CSS

Ø  Office 365 Development (Add ins, Power platform)

Ø  ASP.Net C#, AngularJS, JavaScript, HTML and CSS

Ø  ISQL server

Ø  Web services using C#

·         Experience with:

Ø  Experience Delivering and Maintaining Web APIs,

Ø  Experience with .net Framework/ core

Ø  Experience with Agile development environment

Ø  Experience working with a team.

Ø  Experience of unit testing frameworks

Ø  Experience scripting using PowerShell

Ø  Building Web services using C#
