This role is responsible for developing Peninsula business in the corporate, partnership and franchise marketplace. You will be focused on delivering outbound sales activity to develop new business opportunities and leads for our existing Corporate Business development team.
We’re looking for a dynamic, motivated and high performing Business Development Consultant, who is focused on developing a career in Corporate sales. Establishing strong relationships / lead sources for potential corporate / franchise / partnership opportunities.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services.
- Build and nurture a robust pipeline of opportunities across multiple sectors, utilising all communication channels, phone, email, LinkedIn or other networking sources.
- Generate leads through existing data on the CRM system.
- Meet with prospects via phone or video conference for initial fact find and consultations.
- Develop and nurture relationships with prospects over more complex longer sales cycles until the client is within their buying window.
- Understand the needs of prospects and be able to respond effectively utilising our business service, via SPIN sales approach
- Take a strategic sales approach reviewing existing data and opportunities to enhance new business processes
- Understand Peninsula’s full services, and how the services grow and develop with economic, social and political changes
- Discuss promotional strategies and activities with the marketing department to enhance the nurture process of existing data
- Attend seminars, conferences and events where appropriate to establish new contacts.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and competitive landscape.
- Working closely with the Corporate BDM team for meetings, follow ups and business demos.

- Excellent communication skills for establishing and nurturing professional relationships with potential clients.
- A strong B2B consultancy background
- Able to adapt their communication style to their audience
- Proficient in excel, powerpoint, salesforce desirable
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and competitive landscape.
- Ability to compile thorough reports based on sales activity and data analysis.
- Thrive on working in a fast paced, target focussed high energy and high reward culture.
- Strong fact find ability along with taking detailed meeting notes to update the CRM system
- You'll have experience in outbound lead generation/telesales using a consultative approach
- You'll be able to show initiative, be a self-starter, and eager to learn
