Main Functions of Job

Main function of job role is to provide professional security services for The Peninsula building. In this role you will be part of the Group Facilities Team and will be required to but not limited to undertaking the following:

  • Provide excellent customer service to all staff and visitors at The Peninsula
  • Ensure visitors/guests have a smooth transition through the building.
  • Assist with the monitoring all staff/visitor’s entry and exit, ensuring no security breaches such as tailgating.
  • Have good understanding of the building and being able to answer any questions or concerns that building users may have.
  •  Provide operational support to the Facilities Team
  • Ensure a handover is to be done at the end of each shift with the security team to ensure continuous operation is seamless and efficient.
  • Undertake both internal and external security patrols.
  • Communicating any irregularities with supervisor/management
  • Reporting of faults and issues to the maintenance team
  • Keeping a daily occurrence record
  • Keeping an incident report record
  • Responding to alarms and emergencies
  • Protecting the company’s assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues
  • Following procedures including emergency plans and evacuation procedures
  • Provide secure access and egress to employees.
  • Ensure all employees have visible ID cards on display.
  • Assisting in the setting up of meeting rooms
  • Monitoring the access control and CCTV systems
  • Register Repairs that are required from around the building.
  • The removal of waste from the floors and dispose of it in the correct area.
  • Refilling of Tea and coffee consumables on floors.

Supervisory Responsibilities/Position in Structure: (If applicable)

To supervise all visitors and employees while on site at The Peninsula.

Reporting all issues to the Security Supervisor

As a member of the security team, you will provide a constant and reassuring presence to everyone in the building. You will monitor any abnormal or suspicious activity in and around the building. You will carry out patrols reporting on defects and issues throughout the building. You must be confident in dealing with visitors and tenants, being able to answer any questions or queries they may have.

As part of a team, you will be required to self-cover holidays and sickness.

Within this role you will be working a shift pattern consisting of days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays. You may be expected to work overtime as the job demands.

Qualifications/Education Level Required:

Front line SIA License required.

Good customer service skills with previous experience.

Previous Experience and Skills Required:

Previous experience of working within security.

Experience in customer service essential.

Excellent communication skills

Be confident in dealing with visitors and have a proactive and flexible approach.

Be able to work both individually and as part of a team.
