BusinessWise: Managing Advice Efficiently

There are times when it is not possible to obtain privacy or find sufficient time to make a telephone call to discuss a staff problem or safety issue. This is where using the Advice Section within Peninsula’s online service BusinessWise can really help. Once you are logged into the service, and depending on your access rights, you can ask a question of our dedicated Employment Law or Health and Safety Advisors online using the simple step-by-step ‘Request Advice’ function. You can make a request for an Advisor to call you back to discuss the issue raised or ask the Advice Team to simply update the secure, confidential BusinessWise Advice Log for you to peruse at your own leisure. Ongoing Issues can be managed via the ‘Current Issues’ section. The advice given by the Adviser can be viewed with the option to add extra details or attach documents to each individual query. The details will be sent directly to the Advice Team without the need for a lengthy discussion or hassle of chasing emails and the Advice Log will be updated as soon as the additional information is acknowledged. Additionally, you can search ‘Closed Issues’ to view records of concluded advice matters as, from time to time, you may need to refresh your memory regarding previous issues. Should any of these previously dealt with issues recur; you can request for them to be re-opened. The Advice Team can then familiarise themselves with the prior actions before providing a considered response either over the telephone or via BusinessWise. Furthermore, an Advice Summary Report can be generated to provide a full breakdown of all calls to the Advice Teams providing an at-a-glance view of all Advice activity. The Authorised Callers function allows you to update or amend the list of callers who are authorised to speak to our Advice Teams. These changes can be actioned and updated immediately which provides peace of mind should you have an urgent need to remove or add a staff member to the records. Finally, there is full access to all information and documents with regards to the Advice Insurance making the BusinessWise Advice section your one-stop shop for managing all Employment Law and/or Health & Safety queries.
