It’s often not considered in such literal terms, but the productivity of your business can be significantly affected by the overall health and safety of your workplace. In recognition of this we have invested significant resources into the development of brand new Risk Assessment functionality available via our online service BusinessWise.
The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work has identified that risk assessment is “…the basis for successful safety and health management…If it is implemented well, it can improve workplace safety and health — and business performance in general.”
Indeed, to demonstrate active management of health and safety at work, employers have to make suitable and sufficient assessments of the risks associated with their business and the workplace(s) from which they operate.
At Peninsula we are constantly looking at ways in which we can support and assist our clients in not only meeting these legal obligations but also any measures which can help to actively contribute to the efficiency of your organisation.
As such we have invested significant resources into the development of brand new Risk Assessment functionality available via our online service BusinessWise.
The newly developed SafetyWise Risk Assessments feature offers step-by-step tools, exclusively to Peninsula clients, to help you to assess and manage risk within your organisation.
Risk assessment is the simple process of evaluating risks presented by workplace hazards, but it is often considered to be a laborious, time-consuming and troublesome duty.
We are aware of this and have designed the new SafetyWise Risk Assessments tools with this in mind. With the availability of support from our Health & Safety Consultants we are confident this new feature can help you to better understand your legal duties as an employer.
The new tools are designed to be user-friendly and will help you to demonstrate you are taking responsibility for a healthy workplace. Using the new Risk Assessment feature can help you to easily prioritise action required to combat hazards identified within your workplace which in the long term can help enhance business performance by reducing risk, and accordingly potential costs.
The new SafetyWise Risk Assessment feature is due for release in April 2010 – we will be providing further details in the next edition of The Bottom Line Express; alternatively if you’d like to find out more, please speak to our BusinessWise Helpdesk, e-mail us at bwise@peninsula-UK.com or login to your BusinessWise account at www.pbsnet.com.
