Firstly, I would like to wish you all a very happy and prosperous New Year and welcome you to the new and improved edition of the Peninsula newsletter.

Last year we had a rethink and decided it was time to freshen up our newsletter and make it even more relevant to the modern business owner’s day to day needs. With that in mind your newsletter will not only include the usual information and tips on employment law, health & safety and employee wellbeing, but additional advice on business owner essentials such as marketing, technology and finance.  The format has been updated to be more accessible than previously and will now be a monthly edition to ensure we keep the content quality high and not bombard your inbox.

So what can you expect in the first edition of the Peninsula Newsletter? Firstly now everyone is back at work after the Christmas break, Blue Monday beckons – but low mood can impact on productivity, so how do you raise your staff’s spirits? We’ve compiled a variety of ideas and inspiration to help you keep your employees more positive as they recover from the festivities.

Also staying on the New Year theme, we take a look at the key employment law issues that you need to keep in mind over the coming months including Brexit. We will of course update you with further information as any of these points progress. Along with this guidance, we also offer some food for thought if you’re thinking of updating or creating a business website, ensuring your digital presence gets attention for the right reasons. Finally we will be showcasing our members by sharing their top tips and highlighting the lessons they’ve learned on their road to success.
