You can log all accidents online via the SafetyWise Accident Log. This will provide a full list of any accidents which have occurred on your premises or during your work processes. The Accident Log is fully compliant with the Data Protection Act which provides the same confidentiality as the hard copy Accident Book which is provided for your organisation by Peninsula Business Services. The benefit of also logging them on SafetyWise means you can generate an Accident Summary which you can use for trend analysis to help pinpoint regular accidents and assist you in looking to prevent them in the future.
All the updated Accident Book pages and forms mentioned in the RIDDOR article can be downloaded in PDF or Word to be printed off or saved onto your computer.
Risk Assessments must be reviewed after an accident. Then you will be able to see if your organisation did everything possible to prevent an accident occurring. It will also assist in making sure you are doing all you can to prevent it happening in the future.
