Welcome to the third edition of Corporate Eye, the quarterly Employment Law and Human Resources update from Peninsula Business Services for Corporate and Priority clients.
Many of you found Issue 1 and 2 of Corporate Eye a useful information resource and the feedback we have received since our first edition in March 2013 is appreciated. Our aim for Corporate Eye is to provide a round up of Employment Law and Human Resources issues and other information that may be beneficial to you and your organisation.
In this month’s edition we again explore a case that is standing the test of time, Vento v Chief Constable of West Yorkshire Police, and we review recent case law developments. We have an informative article on the potentially fair reason for dismissal of ‘some other substantial reason’ and iron out some common employment law myths. I do hope that Corporate Eye is helping to keep you up to date with the recent changes and developments and also those on the horizon. I would greatly appreciate any feedback that you have on the content and any suggestions to improve our quarterly publication. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
