Fee for intervention

09 July 2019
Following the election in 2011, the Conservative Coalition Government elected has severely cut the budget of the HSE and decided that the executive should seek to make up the shortfall by recovering its costs from employers who fail to comply with their legal obligations. Visits by inspectors that reveal a material breach of legislation will be charged for. Where specialist advice or assistance is required that too will be charged. Visits where the employer is found to have no material breaches will not incur a fee.
