Join our webinar in collaboration with Zurich on Auto Enrolment & HR Considerations

Ireland’s new pension Auto Enrolment system will be implemented from September 2025, it’s estimated that as many as 800,000 workers will be enrolled.

Auto Enrolment will apply to employees who are between the ages of 23-60, who earn over €20,000 per year, and who are not yet enrolled in any occupational private pension scheme. Employers will be required to match employee contributions, which will be further ‘topped up’ by the State.

This Panel Discussion will address topics such as:

  • Key features of Auto Enrolment

  • The role of the National Auto Enrolment Retirement Savings Authority

  • Elements of a communication strategies

  • Changes to documentation

  • Payroll considerations

  • Ongoing employer responsibilities

Niall Fitzgerald, Head of Retirement Solutions at Zurich, will discuss what employers should be aware of around Pension Auto Enrolment. This includes the essential details of the scheme, potential challenges, as well as possible solutions and opportunities for Irish businesses. Niall’s career spans decades in the insurance sector, with a focus on pension and retirement.

Gemma O’Connor, Head of Service at Peninsula Ireland, will discuss ways that Pension Auto Enrolment may affect HR practices and will reveal how employers can prepare for this change and maintain ongoing compliance.
