Peninsula’s core activity for over thirty years has been HR consultancy, and because of this we are in regular contact with many of our near 28,000 clients. For them, disciplinary and grievance processes, as well as consultation exercises, can be an unwelcome interruption to their business.
HRFace2Face is a Premium service which our clients can request and pay for where and when needed. An HRFace2Face Advisor will advise on the arrangement of meetings and assist in the preparation of necessary correspondence. Once this has been completed, an HRFace2Face Consultant will then visit the client, conduct (or support the client to conduct) the meeting, undertake any necessary investigations, and provide appropriate written outcomes. Any work conducted by a HRFace2Face Consultant is insured by Irwell Insurance, in the same way as any advice given by the 24-Hour Employment Advice Service.

HR Face2Face Consultants
Alison qualified as a solicitor in 2001 and has specialised in employment law since that time. She has represented Respondents at Employment Tribunal from a wide range of market sectors for large and small organisations. She has also acted for high earning Claimants when working in private practice. Alison’s background before studying to become a lawyer, was as a qualified nurse and ten years spent in sales and marketing in the pharmaceutical industry and magazine publishing. Alison is now a dedicated member of the HRface2Face team, whereby she primarily conducts Disciplinary Hearings and grievance meetings.
Justin originally studied for an honours degree at the Royal Northern College of Music after which time he became self-employed for 6 years. Having made the decision to undertake legal training, he began studying at Manchester Metropolitan Law School in 2005. He successfully completed the Graduate Diploma in Law in 2006 and finished the Legal Practice course in 2007. He commenced employment at Peninsula in July 2007. Justin has recently been appointed as a member of the HRFace2Face team.
Kim graduated with a degree in English and American Literature at Warwick University before joining the employment team at Eversheds Solicitors in Cardiff. She went on to establish her own employment law and HR consultancy before joining Peninsula as an Employment Tribunal Advocate in 2009. Kim has represented clients at employment tribunals for over 14 years with an impressive track record of successfully defending claims on behalf of employers, including large national companies as well as small and medium sized businesses. Kim is now a member of the dedicated HRFace2Face team of Consultants.
Before joining Peninsula in 2011 to work as an Employment Tribunal Advocate representing Peninsula clients around the country, Mark specialised in employment law as a Solicitor representing clients in both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters. Mark has also worked as a Senior Legal Adviser for the National Farmers’ Union (NFU), during which time he advised farmers and growers on all aspects of employment law, commercial law and civil litigation, in addition to advising the NFU on legal and policy matters relating to employment law and European and domestic legislation. Due to his success at Peninsula, Mark has since been transferred to the HRFace2Face team.
After obtaining a degree in law and completing the Bar Vocational Course, Matthew started his legal career in family law. He quickly moved into employment law and has extensive litigation experience in the employment tribunals and civil courts throughout the UK, dealing with a diverse range of cases from unfair dismissal and contract claims, through to complex discrimination and TUPE claims. Matthew loves all sports, and is an avid supporter of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. Matthew is now a Consultant within Peninsula’s dedicated HRFace2Face team.
Rachael Lingard is a non-practicing Barrister having been called to the Bar at Lincolns Inn following completion of the Bar Vocational Course in 2006. She studied a degree in Law (LLB (Hon)) in Sheffield having originally graduated with a BA (Honours) degree in Media and Management from Leeds in 2000. After working in private practice, Rachael joined Peninsula Business Services, Legal Services department in 2007, working within Employment Tribunal advocacy and litigious employment law representation. Rachael joined the dedicated ‘HRface2Face’ team in 2014, to specialise in non-contentious employment law and HR issues, and is based in mid-Wales.
