About this upcoming session
The Employment Rights Act 2025 continues to reshape workers’ rights and introduce new employer obligations.
Several significant changes are set to be brought in throughout October. If your business isn’t braced for them, you could be faced with financial and reputational consequences.
Peninsula’s employment law experts host an exclusive online event providing essential updates and guidance. Key talking points include:
- Employment tribunal extension: Employment tribunal time lime will increase from three months to six, which may mean an influx in tribunal claims.
- Increased trade union influence: You’ll have a new duty relating to trade unions, and they’ll have new powers, including right of access to your workplace.
- Sexual harassment changes: The existing duty to prevent sexual harassment will be strengthened to ‘all reasonable steps’.
- Liability for third party harassment: If ‘all reasonable steps’ aren’t taken to prevent staff being subject to any kind of third-party harassment, you could be liable.
