How long is an employee entitled to take for maternity leave and when can she take it?

Maternity leave is a minimum of 6 weeks period, must be taken no later than 2 weeks before the expected delivery date, and not earlier than 4 weeks after birth.

What length of service must an employee have in order to take parental leave?

Parental leave is generally only available to employees with one year’s continuous service with the employer.

How many hours am I able to have my employees work?

Under Section 15 of the Organisation of Working Time Act 1997, employees are not permitted to work over 48 hours a week.
