Mark Owen - Health & Safety Expert
Mark joined forces with Peninsula in 2002 when he set up a dedicated firm in order to assist and advise clients on a wide range of issues associated with Peninsula’s “core” services of employment and health and safety. His firm is registered with the SRA and his offices are at Peninsula’s Head Office in Manchester.
Formally a Partner with Weightmans, an insurance and commercial top 50 law firm, Mark now spends all of his time and expertise advising Peninsula and their clients, particularly in the field of Health and Safety.
As a retained Solicitor, Mark has assisted many of Peninsula’s clients in connection with regulatory investigations (Local Authority, HSE, Fire Authority and EA) and prosecutions, in both Magistrates’ Courts and Crown Courts across the country.
He is also a member of the Health & Safety Lawyers Association and works closely with Peninsula as a speaker and presenter at (internal and external) seminars and workshops, and has spoken widely on issues such as Corporate Manslaughter; Accident Investigation; Sensible Health and Safety Management; D & O liability; and, more recently, The New Draft Guidelines from the Sentencing Council and Section 85 LASPO 2015.
