Joseph Kemp

Joseph was called to the Bar in November 2007 after obtaining a Law Degree at Manchester Metropolitan University. He spent some time working in private practice conducting personal injury work before joining Peninsula in February 2009, initially as a member of the Case Preparation Team. Joseph quickly progressed to the role of Employment Tribunal Advocate and has since appeared at Tribunals throughout the UK defending all types of claims. Joseph was the original member of Peninsula’ Rapid Response team dealing with late-notice cases and new clients, attempting to obtain the best practical and commercial resolution appropriate in the circumstances. Due to his success within Peninsula, Joseph has now been appointed as the Head of HRFace2Face.

Linda Satterley – HRFace2Face Consultant

Prior to joining the HRFace2Face team, Linda worked for a major firm in the financial services industry for over 25 years. For 15 years she specialised in employee relations which ranged from conducting welfare and grievance meetings through to disciplinary hearings and appeals. Later Linda focused on providing support in such meetings to be chaired by managers within the business. This involved providing appropriate HR and employment law guidance and direction to the hearing manager responsible for the decision.Linda also has considerable experience originally gained through her Trade Union duties. This includes settlement negotiations, TUPE cases and redundancy situations.In her free time, Linda enjoys travelling and attending spin exercise classes.

Andrew McCabe – HRFace2Face Consultant

After training as a Solicitor, Andrew joined Peninsula in 2000 as an Advisor before transferring to the Advocacy Department representing clients on a range of issues at most Tribunal venues. He left in 2005 and co-presented a weekly programme called ‘Employers Law Insight’ on LegalTV in which he discussed a different area of employment law and took calls and email enquiries from the viewing public. He then worked on a locum basis for various Local Authorities initially dealing with mass Equal Pay litigation during which time he completed a Masters Degree in Business Law. He returned to Peninsula in 2015 to join their dedicated HRFace2Face Team to provide his experience in resolving employment issues in the workplace.

Kuldeep Chehal – HRFace2Face Consultant

Kuldeep qualified as a solicitor in 1995 and practised law both overseas and in the UK, before joining Peninsula’s advocacy team in April 2009. He has conducted a variety of employment cases for and against employers of all sizes whilst in private practice. He is a serving Magistrate in Warwickshire and also holds a Master’s degree in Employment Law. Kuldeep joined the dedicated HRFace2Face team in 2014.

Mark Silvey – HRFace2Face Consultant

Mark graduated from the University of Kent after studying law and criminology in 2006 and went on to obtain a Graduate Diploma in Law. Mark gained extensive advocacy experience representing immigration and asylum claimants in the Asylum and Immigration Tribunals before joining Peninsula in 2011 as a member of the Advocacy Team. Mark joined the dedicated HRFace2Face team in 2014.

Sharlene Hernandez – HRFace2Face Consultant

Sharlene joined the professional arena on the financial stage, where she qualified as an Accounting Technician before diverting her interests to Business, Marketing and Human Resources. After the birth of her daughter, Sharlene wanted a new direction in life so she averted her attention to Law, where she is now an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. Not one to stay still for any period of time, Sharlene recently qualified as an accredited Mediator, thereby enhancing her skill-set within the HRFace2Face Team, which she has been a member of since Spring 2016. Outside of work, Sharlene has a keen interest in mountains, reading and running, so she can often be found running up a mountain where she will then spend some time with a captivating novel.

Graham Hall – HRFace2Face Consultant

Graham qualified as a solicitor in 1997 specialising in employment and personal injury law. In 2003 Graham set up two legal practices in Swansea becoming the managing partner of both practices, one specialised in employment and personal injury law, and the other in coal miners’ compensation claims. Graham has represented both Claimants and Respondents at Employment Tribunal and has over 20 years’ experience in employment law, advising on all aspects including Redundancy; TUPE; grievance and disciplinary; contract drafting; settlements; organisational restructure and staff performance issues. Graham joined the HRFace2Face team in 2016..

Debbie Ramsden – HRFace2Face Consultant

Debbie is an Associate Member of the CIPD with over 20 years’ experience in Human Resources. Before joining Peninsula in October 2016, Debbie worked as a HR Business Partner for the Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Rutland Community Rehabilitation Company. Debbie worked in partnership with senior stakeholders providing advice, guidance and support on various employee relations issues including, change management, discipline, grievance, harassment, capacity building and complex medical capabilities and TUPE. She has a particular interest in medical capability issues as a result of her previous experience in the public sector conducting ill health retirements, dismissal on grounds of capability and redeployment due to disability. Outside of the office Debbie enjoys watching most sports, particularly football (having previously played for Nottingham Forest Ladies FC) and Moto GP and Superbikes. Debbie enjoys nothing more, than riding her motorbike in the countryside with her partner.

Joseph converted to law, successfully completing both the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course, following the completion of his original degree. Prior to joining Peninsula, Joseph was in private practice for several years as a Solicitor specialising in employment law. He represented both employers and employees on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious legal issues. Joseph acted on behalf of clients from many industries and sectors including retail, finance, aviation and the third sector, priding himself on providing tailored and practical advice. Outside of work he enjoys sports, travel and food.

John Carter – HRFace2Face Consultant

John qualified as a Solicitor in 1991 and practiced as a Solicitor in the fields of employment law and litigation before joining Peninsula’s HRFace2Face team in 2016. As a solicitor he was instructed to represent both employers and employees in a wide range of employment law related issues including claims in the Employment Tribunal and conducting and advising on disciplinary, grievance and medical capacity hearings and negotiating settlement agreements. He has a particular interest in disability issues as a result of his previous experience in conducting personal injury claims for severely injured claimants. Outside of the office John enjoys hillwalking, bird watching and watching most sports.

Naomi Sayers – HRFace2Face Consultant

Naomi studied Law with French at the University of Ulster and after completing the Bar Vocational Training Course at Manchester Metropolitan University, was called to the Bar of England and Wales by Lincoln’s Inn in 2012. Before joining Peninsula’s HRFace2Face Team, she worked as a Legal Assistant in the Disputes Department of Herbert Smith Freehills. Naomi is a facilitator for a voluntary organisation in Northern Ireland that runs workshops to educate teenagers of the dangers of drugs and alcohol abuse. She enjoys travelling, tennis and has a black belt in JuJitsu.

Joy Vasoodaven – HRFace2Face Consultant

Joy graduated from University of Northumbria and worked as a conveyancing paralegal. Upon qualifying as a Solicitor, Joy handled immigration and family law matters. She then pursued her aspiration of qualifying as an Advocate & Solicitor and being called to the Malaysian Bar. Her main area of practice then was in Employment Law. This stint progressed her career to the Human Resource realm in a Malaysian financial institution where her expertise lies in industrial and employee relations. She is currently undertaking her HR (CIPD) qualification in Human Resource Management.

Rachel Waugh – HRFace2Face Consultant

Rachel graduated from the University of Dundee in 2010 after studying Law with French and went on to obtain a Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of Glasgow. Rachel is a trained mediator and CIPD qualified. Before joining Peninsula, Rachel worked in a range of HR roles both in the UK and overseas. In her spare time Rachel enjoys travelling, cooking and learning foreign languages.

Grant Pegg – HRFace2Face Consultant

Grant started his career as a Solicitor in 1997 and then qualified as an Insolvency Practitioner in 2006. He has specialised in the areas of corporate law, employment law, insolvency and business recovery ever since. Grant has worked for predominantly Top 10 firms in his career, gaining a wealth of experience in all areas of corporate law, employment law, insolvency and business recovery, dealing with “blue chip” companies and SMEs. Grant understands the importance of timely and impartial advice geared to expediently identifying the issues involved and implementing the correct processes where possible. He is always mindful of the wishes and concerns of the employees and directors as well as the interests of the company. His interests outside of work include being a 1st Dan in Shotokan Karate, Scuba Diving and Clay Pigeon Shooting.

Vicky Hart – HRFace2Face Consultant

Vicky Joined Peninsula in 2012, and has worked in a number of departments, successfully managing high profile and award winning projects. A recent winner of Manager of the Year, Vicky relies on her strong Leadership style and unique management experience, having first-hand experience of regional and multiple site operations and had worked with a vast amount of industries and sectors. With her commercially yet pragmatic impartial solutions, Vicky’s strength has been founded by her close working relationships formed with both clients and employees which she believes are integral to all conclusions. Whilst actively encouraging L&D, Vicky has a wealth of developing and delivering training, and for a number of years she has been a guest speaker at Local Universities as well as internal conferences mainly focused on her passion and expertise in Absence Management. Prior to joining Peninsula, Vicky was employed in a Regional role for a Global Hotel Company, supporting an international group of around 6,000 employees. Vicky has extensive generalist yet commercially impartial and legally compliant knowledge.

Saragh Reid – HRFace2Face Consultant

Prior to joining the HR Face2Face team, Saragh worked for a well-known Insurance Company which was laterally bought over by an International Insurance Group. After her first 5 years of working successfully within various Operational roles, Saragh moved to the Role of Senior HR Advisor where she gained a wealth of 17 years’ experience and knowledge in Human Resource Management. Her duties ranged from conducting disciplinary and grievance meetings, staff engagement initiatives to redundancy consultation. Saragh also provided the business with assistance in the delivery of HR training courses to help with the development of new managers. In her spare time Saragh enjoys socialising and spending time with her 2 children.

Elizabeth Cook – HRFace2Face Consultant

Prior to joining HRFace2Face, Elizabeth worked as a HR Business Partner both nationally and internationally across multi-site organisations across a number of different sectors. Elizabeth has worked as a HR Generalist for over 15 years enabling her to gain extensive experience in all aspects of HR including conducting and chairing meetings to offering support and guidance to managers and directors who are chairing meetings, these meetings included Investigation, Disciplinary & Grievance hearings, Absence Management hearings, Settlement Discussions and Redundancy/Restructure consultations. Outside of work Elizabeth enjoys reading, swimming and spending time with her family.

Paul Baker – HRFace2Face Consultant

Paul is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. He has spent eighteen years within the retail and hospitality sector as a Manager and HR and Training Coordinator, conducting and advising on various employee relations issues including, change management, discipline, grievance, harassment, capacity building. In his free time Paul enjoys travelling, food and reading.

Paul Beevers – HRFace2Face Consultant

Paul qualified as a solicitor in 1996, and has two decades of experience advising clients of national member organisations, professional bodies, EAP’s, global insurers, affinities, and SME’s, in Employment Law, HR and ER issues, and also presenting seminars to national audiences, and writing regular journal and newsletter based articles. He has 8 years Operational Management experience, which included responsibility for all HR matters, and 7 years part time teaching experience in Law. Education wise Paul has an LLB Hons Degree in Business Law and an LLM in Law and Employment Relations. Paul joined the HRFace2Face team in May 2017.

Katerina Glezou – Senior HRFace2Face Paralegal

Katerina studied Business Administration in Greece and then successfully completed her Master’s degree in Human Resources Management at the University of Manchester. She started her career as an HR Assistant and progressed to the HR Advisor role. Katerina joined the HRFace2Face team as a Paralegal in September 2015, where she has quickly become a key member of the Paralegal team. She enjoys travelling and communicating with people from different cultural backgrounds as well as horse-riding.

Kirsty Ford – HRFace2Face Paralegal

Kirsty obtained an honours degree in Public Services from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2008. After graduating, Kirsty decided to pursue a career in Law and started her legal career working as an ‘in-court resulter’ within Manchester Magistrates Court. She then went on to work for two Law Firms in the North West before joining Peninsula’s HRFace2Face team as a Paralegal in July 2016. Kirsty has a Legal Secretary Diploma from The Institute of Legal Secretaries and PAs and is currently studying with the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives to become a Legal Executive Lawyer. Outside of the office, Kirsty has an interest in Yoga.

Cristina Cozma – HRFace2Face Paralegal

Cristina graduated from Law (LLB Hons) at City, University of London with a strong 2:1 and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in July 2016 with a Very Competent. In September 2016 Cristina also qualified as an European Lawyer in the Romanian Bar. Since graduating from law school, Cristina has been working for various barristers, solicitors as well as private clients and most notably, in October 2015 she was instructed by a firm of solicitors to represent a private client in a complex case of unfair dismissal and discrimination in the Central London Employment Tribunal. Cristina joined Peninsula in October 2016 as a Paralegal within the HRFace2Face team.

Hafizan Arshad – HRFace2Face Paralegal

Hafizan Studied law and completed the Legal Practice Course at The University of Huddersfield. Although she began her legal career in Personal Injury, she quickly moved into Employment law by joining Peninsula Business Services Ltd in 2008, where she initially worked as a case worker and then she moved into the New Business Team as a Consultant. As part of this role, Hafizan handled Employment Litigation work in helping our clients prepare for tribunal hearings, where she also achieved a further qualification as a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. Hafizan is now a member of the dedicated HRFace2Face Paralegal Team whereby she is able to continue to provide a high level of service.

Rachel Hutchinson – HRFace2Face Paralegal

After obtaining an Upper Second-Class Honours (2:1) degree in Public Services, Rachel went on to successfully complete the Graduate Diploma in Law in 2012. She began her career working for the Ministry of Justice as an Administrative Officer at the County Court Money Claims Centre. Rachel joined Peninsula in March 2015 as a paralegal within the dedicated HRFace2Face team. Outside of the office, Rachel is currently studying CIPD level 7 and is a campaign volunteer for Blue Cross for Pets.

Alisa Mistry – HRFace2Face Paralegal

After obtaining an Upper Second-Class Honours (2:1) degree in Public Services, Rachel went on to successfully complete the Graduate Diploma in Law in 2012. Jordan Hanson – HRFace2Face Paralegal

Prior to joining the HRFace2Face team in March 2017. Jordan was a HR Advisor for an international firm, where she gained experience in dealing with complex cases. Jordan enjoys provide excellent customer service to all customers. Outside of the office she likes travelling and exploring new places. She is currently studying for her CIPD Level 7 qualification.

Georgina Shepherd – HRFace2Face Paralegal

Georgina obtained a first class honours degree in Business Management from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2016. She went on to complete her Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, where she developed a keen interest in Employment Law. Outside of the office Georgina enjoys running, travelling and food. Georgina joined Peninsula in August 2017 as a Paralegal within the HRFace2Face team.

Danielle McCabe – HRFace2Face Paralegal

In 2015, Danielle gained a degree in Psychology from the University of Central Lancashire and went on to specialise in service management within the Hospitality industry. Before joining Peninsula, she worked for a recruitment agency, where she grew her knowledge of HR procedures and worked closely with clients that had been subject to redundancy and settlement agreements. Danielle enjoys providing excellent levels of service to our clients and developing her existing knowledge of Employment Law. Outside of work she has a keen interest in visiting new places and trying new cuisines.
