For many this really is a no-brainer, however many employers fail to realise the potential fall-out should an employee post defamatory comments about the business or indeed an individual within the business. So ensure you have in place sufficient protection should the trust of an employee be misjudged and comments are made regarding not just your business but also that of individuals within your organisation. Any policy implemented needs to be communicated to all staff detailing proper usage of social media and the consequences for misuse.
