Client Success Story - Capture

"The best thing about the service we get? 24/7, 365 accessibility. When it’s urgent, you get the advice you need.” Abbie Enock | Founder and owner

Capturing success

When you think of an entrepreneur, icons like Sir Richard Branson, Lord Alan Sugar, Baroness Michelle Mone or Mark Zuckerberg come to mind. But what do they all have in common? Despite huge success, they still have the drive to challenge themselves and come up with new and innovative business ventures. This is the story of another entrepreneur. One who saw a gap in the market and knew how to fill it. She just needed to learn some major new skills to do it herself. So she did. Back in the mid-nineties, Abbie Enock was an experienced photojournalist who travelled around the globe. Following that, she set up a successful photo and feature agency, but realised that the job would be much easier if she had an all-in-one piece of software that could ingest; tag; manage; control rights to; market, and sell her agency’s growing images and data. Her solution? The DIY approach. In typical entrepreneurial style, she stepped well outside her comfort zone and learnt how to code. And she wrote a pioneering platform that saw the birth of her new business: Capture.

Launched to the world

On January 1st 2000, Capture launched and soon became the content management specialist service provider to some of the world’s most famous brands. Capture took ‘Software as a Service’ (Saas) further. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all product, they worked closely with clients to give them the perfect software for their business needs, with outsourcing options available to complement it. Through Abbie’s vision, Capture built a tenacious & determined team which grew year-on-year. Abbie’s ability to see technology in a human way took Capture to the forefront of its field. But despite Capture’s success, in 2002 Abbie realised that her business needed help handling its HR and employment law in a more professional way.

Over a decade of support

As the business grew, managing HR took up too much of Abbie and her team’s time. They had to go external, and one of Abbie’s contacts recommended the market leader: Peninsula. 14 years later, Capture and Peninsula still have a partnership instilled with confidence and built upon trust. Abbie knew from the first phone call to the 24-hour advice line that Peninsula would support and guide Capture, freeing them from their employment law and HR burden. Today, when asked what she likes the most about Peninsula, Abbie said, “24/7, 365 accessibility. When it’s urgent, you get the advice you need.”
